ALA is almost here!

Rather, I am almost at ALA... Whatever, semantics be damned, I'm just glad to be going!

After receiving the group's hotel info, I found it 'interesting' that as I started researching it, the neighborhood restaurants were among the first things to pique my interest. LOL Yeaaah, I luv me some good food (a bit more than exercise, unfortunately)! ;o)

My inbox has been inundated with tips and promotions from the American Library Association to the point that I've simply stopped reading them. I'll probably just print them out and read them on the plane... oh wait, that's when I'm supposed to be catching up on some sleep! I'll be needing it since the early meetings--I am not a morning person!--evening wrap-ups and sheer insanity in-between will be sufficient to consume my life for 5 days. Hopefully I can get some shopping in, too!

Summertime =

warp-speed classes. For many reasons, this is definitely going to be a summer to remember. Among which is my first trip to ALA...I am SO psyched about it! But I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to successfully juggle classes along with the major changes going on in my personal and professional lives. *sigh* Starting a new job and taking a cross-continental excursion (years in the making) are monumental enough by themselves... adding 2 summer courses to that equation is just about suicidal.

But I didn't make it through the first half of graduate school immediately after my grandmother's death to let life whip me now! *mischievous grin* It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but the Lord is my seatbelt and He's not letting go of me!
